Dr. Louis Tieu was born in Taiwan and grew up in Rowland Heights, California. Upon graduating from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, he pursued advanced training in oral & maxillofacial surgery through a dual degree program with UCSF School of Dentistry and University of California Davis (UCD) School of Medicine. After earning his M.D. from UCD, he conducted his residency at UCSF.

With over 22 years of experience as a licensed oral & maxillofacial surgeon and physician, Dr. Tieu aspires to model a professional workplace that prioritizes both patients and healthcare professionals. His commitment to providing the highest quality of care is reflected in his continued attendance at education conferences.

Dr. Tieu’s expertise spans a variety of specialized dental care, including dental implants, dental extractions, evaluation and removal of wisdom teeth (third molars), corrective jaw surgery, oral medicine, and more.

He is also a member of numerous professional organizations including, the Board of Directors of Santa Clara County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and others.

In his spare time, Dr. Tieu enjoys cooking, reading topics on mentorship, and spending time with his wife and three children.
