Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Arden Hu grew up in a family of classical musicians. When she began her undergraduate education at Pomona College in Claremont, CA, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology, she learned that she could combine her love for the arts and her interest in science in dentistry. She went on to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for dental school, where she became involved in community outreach programs focused on dental education and awareness while simultaneously discovering her interest in orthodontics.

Dr. Arden’s passion for orthodontics took her to the University of Pittsburgh, where she completed her orthodontic residency and received a Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. While exploring the intersection between body mass index, gender, and skeletal maturity in her research, she received extensive training in traditional braces, clear aligners, various appliances, early treatment in children, and surgery. She continues to be a strong advocate for patient education and feels very fortunate to be part of her patients’ journeys to a confident smile.

Dr. Arden is a classically trained pianist and continues to enjoy playing the piano in her free time. She also loves to travel, try new cuisines, play tennis, and relax with her cat Bean.

Dr. Arden is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
